Curtis Davies: 'We need to keep pressing'

Hull City defender Curtis Davies believes that his side have to keep picking up points, especially away from home, to continue their survival push this season.

Hull City defender Curtis Davies feels that his side have to keep pressing for points despite being nearly at the half-way mark to their target of 40.

The Tigers have had a solid start to the Premier League campaign under Steve Bruce but have won just once away from home, something that Davies wants to change on Saturday against West Bromwich Albion.

He told the club's official website: "I think if anything we are slightly ahead as a point a game was the target and we hope to add to that this weekend. But we can't be looking at it as a job already half done. A lot of people were making a point of our away record when we were playing a lot of the big guns away.

"We weren't too worried about that, but now we have to play those big teams at home. We've taken a lot of points at home already, but we have to try and sustain that against the Manchester Uniteds, Chelseas and Arsenals to try and pick up as many points as we can."

Hull are 12th in the table after taking 19 points from their opening 16 games.
