Steve Bruce: 'Liam Rosenior injury not serious'

Hull City boss Steve Bruce reveals that Liam Rosenior's thigh injury is not as serious as first feared.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has revealed that Liam Rosenior's thigh injury is not as bad as first feared.

The defender was forced off at half time during Saturday's 2-0 win at Sunderland in the Premier League.

Bruce now expects the 29-year-old to be back to full fitness in around two weeks.

"We don't think it's too serious," he told the Hull Daily Mail. "But it was enough for him to come off so I'd think he'd be extremely doubtful for tomorrow (against Southampton).

"Realistically, I would think he would need a couple of weeks rest to get him back again."

Rosenior has played 22 times in all competitions for Hull this season.
