Curtis Davies not concerned by recent run of poor results

Davies: 'Recent form means nothing'

Curtis Davies has insisted that Hull City's poor form counts for nothing ahead of the FA Cup final against Arsenal on Saturday.

Hull head to Wembley as the underdogs, but Davies does not believe that their failure to win any of their final five Premier League games of the season will make a difference as they aim to win the competition for the first time in the club's history.

"Even if we had won five on the bounce and Arsenal had lost five, they would still be favourites," the defender told members of the media.

"They've got two arms, two legs - fair enough, two brilliant legs on a lot of them - but anything can happen.

"We're not going to go toe-to-toe with Arsenal, but we know we're a good side and if we can keep them quiet when we do get the ball we can cause them problems."

Hull boss Steve Bruce has agreed with Davies by suggesting that his side are "rank outsiders" ahead of the final.
