Davies hails Hull achievement

Hull City defender Curtis Davies has described the team's run to the FA Cup semi-finals as a "massive achievement".

The Tigers reached the last four of the competition for only the second time in their history on Sunday with a 3-0 win over Sunderland at the KC Stadium.

Hull's reward for beating the Black Cats is a semi-final encounter with League One side Sheffield United.

"The history does register with the players, we know it's a massive achievement," Davies, who opened the scoring against Sunderland, told BBC Sport.

"Getting the right draw is obviously helpful, but it's more about the right attitude going into games. As far as we're concerned, what would be better than finishing the season staying up and getting an FA Cup winner's medal?

"We're not satisfied though, we want to go one better and get to the final and then go on and win it."

The other semi-final will see holders Wigan Athletic take on Arsenal.
