Team News: Adam Clayton not included in Huddersfield Town squad

Last year's player of the season, Adam Clayton,is not included in Huddersfield Town's squad for their season-opening Championship game at home to Bournemouth.

Adam Clayton has not been included in Huddersfield Town's squad for their opening game of the 2014-15 season at home to Bournemouth, but Lee Peltier has been handed the captain's armband and will make his first start for the club in three years.

Youth graduate Matt Crooks will line up at centre-back for the first time in a competitive game, while new recruit Radoslaw Majewski has also been given the nod by Robins.

Peltier captains the side after returning to the John Smith's Stadium this summer following spells at Leicester City and Leeds United.

There is only one new face in the Bournemouth starting XI. Callum Wilson will start up front with Yann Kermorgant following his switch from Coventry City, while fellow new recruits Dan Gosling and Junior Stanislas will begin their Cherries career on the bench.

Huddersfield Town: Smithies; Lynch, Peltier (c), Crooks; Dixon, Hogg, Norwood, Majewski, Hammill; Ward, Wells

Bournemouth: Camp, Francis, Cook, Elphick, Daniels, Ritchie, Arter, O'Kane, Pugh, Kermorgant, Wilson
