David Wagner urges Huddersfield Town caution

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner urges fans to be cautious after the Terriers' perfect side to the season.

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner has urged Terriers fans not to get carried away by the side's perfect start to the Championship season.

The West Yorkshire outfit claimed maximum points from Brentford and title favourites Newcastle United to sit joint top of the nascent Championship table.

Another difficult test awaits Town tonight as they travel to division giants Aston Villa, and Wagner predicted a "tough" but "interesting" clash.

"We all know it is very early," he told the Huddersfield Examiner. "We are workers not dreamers. We have ambitions, but we know that without work, we will be nothing. I liked the performance at Newcastle because the players were brave as a group and they carried out the plan.

"Aston Villa have a different style and will pose us different questions, so we will need other answers. But it is another big game against another big club. The atmosphere, the stadium, the pitch, all will be good. It will be tough, but it will be interesting, and I am glad to be going there.

"We have another chance to show we can be a competitor in this division."

Huddersfield have not won their first three games of a league season in 37 years.
