Brighton & Hove Albion had an early opportunity to open the scoring for the visitors, his right-footed strike sailing wide of Craig Mackail-Smith 's goal in the third minute. They went on better just before the break and Buckley was the thorn in Huddersfield's side once again, smashing home Mackail-Smith's pass on 40 minutes to send the Seagulls into the break 2-0 to the good.
