Will Bruin brace guides Houston Dynamo to comeback win

A brace from Will Bruin and strikes from Oscar Garcia and Ricardo Clark guide Houston Dynamo to a 4-2 comeback win over the New York Red Bulls in their MLS clash.

Houston Dynamo came from behind to record to a 4-2 victory over the New York Red Bulls in their MLS clash.

The visitors came close to taking the lead in the eighth minute when Bradley Wright-Phillips latched onto a through ball and poked it past Tyler Deric, but David Horst was on hand to clear the ball off the line.

New York continued to press as Mike Grella found space on the edge of the box to fire an effort towards the top corner, but his strike went just past the post.

However, the Red Bulls took the lead just before the break and this time, Grella did find the back of the net as he cut inside onto his right foot and buried the ball into the bottom corner.

The visitors almost doubled their advantage before the whistle when Sacha Kljestan headed towards goal from close range, but Deric made a good save to keep the ball out.

In the second half, Dynamo equalised as Will Bruin found the run of Oscar Garcia down the right and his effort was deflected over Luis Robles and into the net.

Houston took the lead in the 72nd minute after they won a corner following a save from Robles, and Garcia's delivery was converted at the back post courtesy of a volley from Ricardo Clark.

The home side netted a third goal when Bruin raided forward on the counter-attack before his strike was deflected past Robles into the net.

The Red Bulls got a goal back when Anatole Abang rose highest in the penalty area from a corner and headed the ball past Deric to set up a tense finish.

However, Bruin notched his second goal of the game in the dying seconds to secure the victory for the Dynamo.
