Hoffenheim wrap it up late on

Hoffenheim took the lead three times against Schalke, scoring an injury-time winner through Sven Schipplock to end this afternoon's clash 3-2.

Joselu could have given Hoffenheim the lead after 10 minutes but his header was blocked.

Just two minutes later, however, Hoffenheim took advantage of their strong start when Kevin Volland finished well from Fabian Johnson's assist.

Schalke started to come into the game more and Christian Fuchs put a shot wide, but in the 37th minute they were level through Roman Neustadter after a Jefferson Farfan pass.

Despite Jones twice coming close with blocked efforts early in the second half, it was Hoffenheim who retook the lead through a Roberto Firmino penalty.

Eight minutes from time Schalke were level for the second time through Atsuto Uchida, and they looked for the winner.

Then in stoppage time Schipplock popped up to give Hoffenheim the lead for the third time and the three points in the process.
