Result: Hearts 0-2 Rangers

Rangers extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League with a 2-0 victory away at Hearts earlier today.

Scotland international Steven Naismith opened the scoring at Tynecastle after 20 minutes when he shot low past goalkeeper Marion Kello.

Substitute Nikica Jelavic made sure of the victory with virtually his first touch, volleying in Carlos Bocanegra's long ball with 16 minutes remaining.

Ally McCoist's side now hold a nine-point lead over second-placed Motherwell at the summit.
