Goalkeeper Janos Balogh has had his contract with Hearts terminated with immediate effect.

The Hungarian was expected to leave the club in January, but it has been announced this evening that he has been released earlier.

"It was a good move for me to come to Hearts and it improved me as a keeper, although it was frustrating not to be able to prove it in the last 15 months," the 28-year-old told Hearts News.

"I didn't have much luck during that time but I will remember my first two years here for a long time.

"Living in Edinburgh was a new culture for me and my family and I would like to come back to visit some time."

Balogh made 41 appearances during his time at Tynecastle.
