Hearts settle overdue wage bill

Hearts of Midlothian have claimed that they have settled their overdue wage bill for August.

Jambos boss John McGlynn, a member of the team's coaching staff, and six players did not receive the salaries they were owed on Monday.

The Scottish club said at the time that it was still waiting on television revenue from its Europa League clash with Liverpool, BBC Sport reports.

Hearts were charged with "failing to behave with the utmost good faith to the Scottish Premier League", but no penalty was imposed.

The Tynecastle outfit failed to pay its team's wages on time on three separate occasions last season.
