Scottish Premier League issue ultimatum

Hearts ordered to pay players

The Scottish Premier League has ordered Hearts to pay December's wages to all of their players.

The Tynecastle-based club have been given until Wednesday, January 11 to ensure that payment, including additional interest, is completed.

It is the third consecutive month that the Hearts squad have had their wages delayed.

As a result the Union PFA Scotland submitted a formal complaint on behalf of the first-team squad on December 16.

The club have been warned that there will be serious repercussions should they fail to follow the SFA's instructions.
