Half-Time Report: Hartlepool United lead through debutant Scott Fenwick

Scott Fenwick has scored on his first professional debut to give Hartlepool United a 1-0 lead going into half time against fellow relegation-strugglers York City.

Fenwick managed to latch on to a long Marlon Harewood ball, which the striker converted with his right foot to give the home side the lead in the 27th minute.

The young striker came close to doubling his tally minutes later but his close-range header went just over.

The visitors failed to test Scott Flinders in the Pools goal, giving the hosts the advantage for the second half.
