Player-manager Alex Neil commits to Hamilton Academical

Hamilton Academical player-manager Alex Neil has signed a new one-year rolling contract with the Scottish Premiership club.

The 33-year-old got Hamilton promoted to the top flight in his first season in charge thanks to their recent playoff victory over Hibernian.

Accies finished in second place in the Scottish Championship table before beating Falkirk and Hibs to go up.

Neil joined the club in 2005 following spells with Airdrieonians, Barnsley and Mansfield Town.
