Team News: Johan Djourou makes Hamburger SV debut

Johan Djourou makes his Hamburger SV debut as they look for a first win of the season at home to Eintracht Braunschweig.

Swiss defender Johan Djourou has passed a fitness test to make his debut for Hamburger SV this afternoon against Eintracht Braunschweig.

The Arsenal loanee comes into central defence for the hosts today ahead of Lasse Sobiech, while Zhi Gin Lam continues at left-back with Marcell Jansen still recovering from a broken toe.

Rafael van der Vaart also starts despite struggling with a knock in midweek, while Artjoms Rudnevs misses out in attack as Hamburg opt for Jacques Zoua in search of a first win of the season.

Braunschweig have named an attacking side for their trip to the Imtech Arena, with Dominick Kumbela recalled to partner Simeon Jackson in the final third.

Hamburg: Adler, Diekmeier, Djourou, Westermann, Lam, Arslan, Badelj, Jiracek, Van der Vaart, Zoua, Beister

Braunschweig: Davari, Dogan, Reichel, Theuerkauf, Kessel, Bicakcic, Vrancic, Hochscheidt, Bellarabi, Kumbela, Jackson
