Fernando Santos bemoans Konstantinos Katsouranis red card

Greece manager Fernando Santos believes that his side would have won their World Cup match against Japan had they not been reduced to 10 men.

Greece manager Fernando Santos believes that his side would have won their World Cup match against Japan had they not been reduced to 10 men.

Konstantinos Katsouranis was sent off for the Greeks in the first half of their Group C match, but they managed to hold on and claim a goalless draw.

"When Katsouranis was sent off, it changed the game fundamentally," Santos told reporters.

"Without the red card we probably could have won the game."

Greece face the Ivory Coast in their final group match next Tuesday.
