Granada and Espanyol play out a 0-0 draw in their relegation six-pointer.

Granada and Espanyol have battled to a point apiece at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes, leaving both sides still stuck in the bottom three.

Granada had a fantastic chance inside the opening five minutes, but Gabriel Torje's effort after being played in by Dani Benitez was blocked by Juan Forlin.

Torje again could have opened the scoring after 12 minutes, but this time Cristian Alvarez pushed his effort away for a corner.

Raul Baena put a header over the crossbar on 22 minutes then 15 minutes later Odion Ighalo overhit a cross with Benitez well-placed.

Wakaso had Espanyol's best chance on 52 minutes after some terrible defending from Guilherme Siqueira, but Tono saved well.

As the second half wore on the game became increasingly scrappy, but with 10 minutes to go Benitez fizzed in a low cross that Diego Colotto managed to turn over his own crossbar.

That was to be the last real chance as both sides had to settle for a stalemate.
