Germany's World Cup success

On Sunday, Germany became the first European team to win the World Cup on South American soil when they beat Argentina 1-0 in the final of the 2014 competition.

The two sides could not be separated in normal time, but Mario Gotze struck after 113 minutes to secure a fourth World Cup for Germany.
