Miroslav Klose equals Gerd Muller's goalscoring record

Miroslav Klose has become Germany's joint-highest goalscorer, matching Gerd Muller's long-standing record.

The Lazio striker netted for his national side for the 68th time during their World Cup qualifier against Austria earlier this evening.

Muller, who represented West Germany between 1966 and 1974, needed 62 games to reach the landmark, while Klose won his 127th cap tonight.
