Half-Time Report: Goalless between Germany, Spain

It remains goalless between Germany and Spain in the Under-21 European Championships Group B clash in Netanya, Israel.

Spain started the brighter of the two teams and went on to dominate possession throughout the first half.

They came close to breaking the deadlock in the 26th minute, when Thiago Alcantara picked the pocket of Oliver Sorg before unleashing a shot that rebounded off of the upright.

Germany threatened themselves in the 37th minute, as Christian Clemens struck one from distance, but his effort whizzed beyond David de Gea's far post.

The defending champions have passed and probed for the opening 45 minutes, but have so far been unable to pick the lock of the German defence.
