Women’s football has come a long way in recent years and the modern-day stars of the beautiful game continue to inspire young children to take part in an ever-growing sport.
There have been 14 editions of the Women’s European Championship over the last 41 years and only five nations have ever had the honour of lifting the prestigious trophy.
The current holders are England, who beat world champions Spain in the 2025 final to claim back-to-back European titles and become the first senior English team in history (men’s and women’s) to win a major international football tournament on foreign soil.
Here, Sports Mole provides a complete list of every team that has won the Women’s European Championship and the top scorers at each tournament over the years.
