AC Milan have moved to within eight points of Serie A leaders Juventus thanks to a 2-0 win at struggling Genoa.

The visitors led at the break through Giampaolo Pazzini following the striker's emphatic finish from the edge of the box.

Cesare Bovo nearly equalised for the home side at the start of the second half, but his powerful free kick rattled the post.

The victory was wrapped up with an hour played as Mario Balotelli swept the ball in on the angle.

Milan ended the game with 10 men when Kevin Constant picked up his second yellow card for a foul on Bovo in the 69th minute.
