Genoa, Bologna share goalless draw

Bologna move out of the Serie A relegation zone following a goalless draw against Genoa.

Bologna have moved out of the Serie A relegation zone following a goalless draw against Genoa this afternoon.

In a first half of few chances, Genoa were close to taking the lead just before half time when Luca Antonelli saw his effort kept out by Gianluca Curci.

Rolando Bianchi had a sight of goal for the visitors following the break, but after controlling a cross in the box, he fired his strike over the bar.

They were inches away from taking the lead moments later as Panagiotis Kone crashed a header against the bar following a free kick.

Daniele Paponi saw an effort saved by Mattia Perin in the final minutes, as both teams settled for a hard-fought point.
