Rino Foschi appointed Genoa sporting director

Serie A strugglers Genoa have appointed Rino Foschi as their new sporting director, according to reports.

Foschi previously spent time in the same role with Rossoblu when he was in charge in the summer of 2008 and replaces Stefano Capozucca, who was dismissed by Enrico Preziosi last week.

The former Palermo man will assume his new role with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, Preziosi has continued to wield axe by getting rid of director of the youth setup Mario Donatelli and his coach Gigi De Canio.
