Jhon Cordoba joins Espanyol

Espanyol have completed the signing of Colombian striker Jhon Cordoba from Mexican side Jaguares de Chiapas.

The 20-year-old, who passed a medical at the Spanish club on Monday evening, penned terms on a long-term contract before the deadline passed.

It had been suggested that Fulham were interested in the Colombian Under-20 international, but the Premier League side did not make a move in the latter stages of the transfer window.

Cordoba made 17 appearances for Jaguares last season, scoring three goals in the process.
