Cologne: 'We will sell Sascha Riether'

Cologne executive Jorg Jakobs has revealed that the Bundesliga outfit will sell Sascha Riether at the end of the season regardless of whether Fulham take up the option to sign the 29-year-old.

The right-back has been one of Fulham's star performers this season since joining the club on loan, but it is not yet clear whether Martin Jol will move to sign the German at the end of the season.

"Fulham has the chance to buy him at the end of the season. Even if they do not pursue their buy-out option, there will definitely be another club signing him then," Jakobs told Express.

Riether has started all 25 of Fulham's Premier League matches this season.
