Felix Magath remains "convinced" of Fulham survival

Fulham manager Felix Magath remains sure that the club can escape the drop from the Premier League this season.

Fulham manager Felix Magath has insisted that he remains confident that he can guide the club to safety in the Premier League, despite their current position of bottom with just seven games to play.

Magath said that the defeat to Manchester City last weekend does not change anything and that Fulham must remain focused on their own games instead of hoping that results go their way.

"We know that 5-0 was a little bit too much, but against such a good team as Man City with one man less you have very few chances," he said in his pre-match press conference.

"I don't think about the other teams and the table. We have to get points, win games otherwise we have no chance to stay in the league. We have to win because we are a few points adrift.

"I knew it was a difficult job to do and so it is. I don't worry, I'm happy to be here. I'm convinced that we're staying in the league."

Fulham take on Everton on Saturday looking for only their fifth home win of the season.
