Kevin McDonald looking forward to Wolverhampton Wanderers return

Fulham midfielder Kevin McDonald reveals that he is relishing his first return to old club Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

Fulham midfielder Kevin McDonald has admitted that he is looking forward to his return to former side Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

The 28-year-old joined the Midlands outfit in 2013 and was a key part of the side's League One title win that season, as well as their challenge for the Championship playoffs the following season.

McDonald found himself frozen out of the side by then-manager Kenny Jackett towards the end of last season, however, and was subsequently sold to the Cottagers in July.

"I saw a couple of the [Wolves] boys on Sunday when I bumped into them at Winter Wonderland, so we had a bit of a laugh and a joke there," McDonald told the Fulham website of his return to Molineux. "It's always the same, everyone has a laugh together but when it gets to Saturday there'll be no laughing and joking then, everyone will be serious, myself included.

"That's football at the end of the day, I've moved on from Wolves. I couldn't fault the place one bit, I had a fantastic three years there where I really enjoyed my time.

"I played with and met some amazing people, but I'm on the opposite team now, I'm on the other side, so I've got to go there and be professional and put in a good performance."

Fulham enter the match off the back of a 5-0 win over Reading last weekend that took them to 10th in the table, three points off the playoff places.
