Martin Jol: 'We could add one more player'

Fulham boss Martin Jol admits that his side could add one more defender to their ranks before the close of the transfer window.

Fulham boss Martin Jol has revealed that he may look to bring one more player into his side before the close of the transfer window.

The Cottagers have added Darren Bent, Scott Parker and Adel Taarabt to their ranks in recent weeks, but Jol admits they could use another defender.

Jol told reporters: "We will have to wait and see, maybe there will be one. You never know what will happen. I think at the back, for example, we could do with a player, but we'll have to wait and see.

"I don't think deadline day will be as hectic as it was here over the last season when we had one or two players coming in on the last day, but there are always wishes for any manager."

Fulham face Newcastle United away on Saturday in their next Premier League fixture.
