Freiburg: 'Matthias Ginter not for sale'

Matthias Ginter will stay at Freiburg for another season, according to the club's chairman Fritz Keller.

Bundesliga side Freiburg have insisted that they have no intention of selling highly-rated defender Matthias Ginter this summer, and want him to stay until at least the end of the season.

With interest from fellow German side Borussia Dortmund and Premier League team Arsenal, chairman Fritz Keller has urged Ginter to continue his development at his current club.

"Matthias will play for SC Freiburg next season, this is what we have told him already," Keller told Deutsche Presseagentur. "It's about our responsibility regarding a young player of 20 years of age.

"It's best for everyone that he stays one more year at SC Freiburg."

Ginter, 20, has two caps for Germany.
