Sunday's World Cup predictions including England vs. Senegal

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's World Cup fixtures, including England vs. Senegal.

France vs. Poland (Sunday, 3.00pm)

Two teams who ended their World Cup 2022 group-stage campaigns with defeat prepare for battle in Sunday's last-16 clash at the Al-Thumama Stadium, as reigning champions France take on Poland.

Les Bleus finished first in Group D to make it through to the knockout rounds, while Czeslaw Michniewicz's men set up a tie with the holders after placing second in Group C.

We say: France 2-0 Poland

Possessing the lethal instincts of Lewandowski means nothing for Poland if the Barcelona man receives no service from his teammates, who are unlikely to experience much joy against France's selection of well-rested first-teamers.

The loss to Tunisia may have come as a shock to the system for Les Bleus, but Deschamps's settled first XI have otherwise played like world champions, and we expect the holders to march into the quarter-finals with ease.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

England vs. Senegal (Sunday, 7.00pm)

Vying for a place in the World Cup quarter-finals, England and last-16 opponents Senegal go head-to-head at Al Bayt Stadium on Sunday.

After Gareth Southgate's side topped Group B by beating Wales, a first-ever meeting between the nations sees the Three Lions tackle the Lions of Teranga, who made it through to the knockout rounds thanks to a crucial intervention from their captain.

We say: England 2-0 Senegal

Having conceded at least once in all three matches so far, Senegal are ill-equipped to survive an onslaught from England's exuberant front line - provided Southgate's side play to their full potential.

Though well-organised and offering a clear threat on the break, the absence of integral players may see Africa's top team slain by the Three Lions in Al Khor.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.
