French midfielder Yann M'Vila has claimed that there is time for him to regain full fitness before the start of Euro 2012.
The 21-year-old limped off after just four minutes of France's friendly with Serbia last night, and was later seen in tears on the bench.
However, despite his initial fears that the ankle injury would rule him out of the Euros, M'Vila is now hopeful that he will be ready to play in France's opener against England on June 11.
"I cracked up. A lot of things went through my mind. When I was 13, I experienced the same thing and I was in plaster for two months. I thought of that straight away, that the Euro was over for me," the Rennes midfielder told L'Equipe.
"We will let things run their course, and hopefully I'll be ready for June 11, God willing. I'm able to put my foot down on the floor, but I still have to walk with crutches, just in case.
"There is time to heal before the Euros."
M'Vila has won 19 caps for Les Bleus, the first of which came in August 2010.
