Eric Abidal pleased with France's draw with Belgium

France's Eric Abidal is pleased with how Lew Bleus played in the 0-0 draw with Belgium.

France and Monaco left-back Eric Abidal has insisted that his side's 0-0 draw against Belgium on Wednesday night was a good result.

Abidal said that Les Bleus were particularly pleased with how they dealt with Belgium's danger from set pieces.

"It's a good draw against a good Belgian team, which has a lot of quality players," L'Equipe quotes Abidal as saying.

"They put us in danger on a number of occasions and were very clever on set pieces. There was some hard work and we did pretty well overall.

"The result could have been different, but we are very happy with our performance."

The best chance in the game fell to Karim Benzema, but Thibaut Courtois saved well.
