Forest Green Rovers went top of the National League table with a 2-1 win over Chester FC this afternoon.

Sammie Szmodics's debut for Braintree Town ended with a winning goal as they beat Macclesfield Town 1-0.

Tyrone Marsh scored for Torquay United but was later sent off as they drew 1-1 with Altrincham, with the equaliser coming from Jake Moult.
