Former Romania international Adrian Mutu is reportedly on the verge of returning to Fiorentina.
The 35-year-old spent six seasons at the Viola and is currently playing for Indian club Pune City.
According to La Nazione, Mutu and Fiorentina are keen to strike a deal, but any move will not go ahead without the backing of manager Vincenzo Montella.
Mutu was sacked by Chelsea in 2004 after failing a drugs test.
