Mario Gomez completes Besiktas move

German striker Mario Gomez has finalised his switch to Besiktas.

The Fiorentina frontman has initially joined the Turkish outfit on a season-long loan deal, with a view to a permanent transfer.

Gomez spent the past two years in Florence following his stint with Bayern Munich, but his number of appearances has been limited by injuries and as a result he has only been able to score 14 goals in all competitions.

The 30-year-old could make his Besiktas debut against Mersin Idmanyurdu on Sunday, August 16.
