Giuseppe Rossi to resume training

Fiorentina striker Giuseppe Rossi has been given permission to return to full training following serious knee problems.

The Italian has been out of action since the end of 2011 after damaging anterior cruciate ligaments in his right leg twice in six months.

The 26-year-old tweeted: "Got the OK from Professor Steadman to train with the team."

Rossi joined Fiorentina in January following a five-year spell with Villarreal.
