FC Utrecht, Roda JC share the spoils in hard-fought encounter

FC Utrecht and Roda JC shared a point each in their Eredivisie clash at the Galgenwaard Stadium.

Utrecht took an early lead through Sebastian Haller, who found space behind the Roda defence before firing past keeper Benjamin van Leer.

Mark Diemers recorded the assist for Haller's fifth strike of the league campaign.

Tomi Juric's 36th-minute goal brought Darije Kalezic's men back into the tie as half time approached.

The second half was a much quieter affair as neither side committed enough men forward to grab a winning goal.

Both teams retain the positions that they had held in the table before the game, as Roda stay in eighth while Utrecht remain in 11th.
