The Football Association has announced that, as of next season, the FA Cup will be renamed the Emirates FA Cup.
The airline has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with the FA to become the lead partner of football's oldest knockout competition.
It is the first time that the Cup has had a brand name included in its title, but FA chairman Greg Dyke insists that it will benefit the game in England.FA announce three-year sponsorship deal with Emirates. From next year FA Cup will be known as The Emirates FA Cup pic.twitter.com/LC1Jeja36H

"All of the money the FA receives goes back to the game at all levels," he said at a press conference announcing the partnership.
"Partnerships like these only improve our ability to support grass-roots football."
The final of the 2014-15 competition takes place at Wembley today between holders Arsenal and Aston Villa, who are appearing in their first final for 15 years.
