Everton 'to rival West Ham United for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson'

Everton reportedly join West Ham United in the race to sign £20m-rated Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson in January.

Everton have reportedly joined the race to sign Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson in January.

The Toffees are understood to be looking for striking reinforcements as a backup to Romelu Lukaku and have identified Wilson as a potential target.

However, The Mirror reports that they will face competition for his signature from West Ham United, who are also in the market for a new striker with Simone Zaza expected to return to parent club Juventus.

Wilson only signed a new four-year deal in July and Bournemouth are thought to be holding out for a fee of more than £20m before they consider selling the striker.

The 24-year-old has scored five Premier League goals in 15 appearances for the Cherries this season.
