Everton manager Roberto Martinez has reportedly started to consider the possibility of launching a move for Tyrone Mings in the January transfer window.
The Ipswich Town defender has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea in recent weeks after continuing his development with an impressive start to the season in the Championship.
According to The Mirror, Martinez could give the green light to a January bid for the 21-year-old as they look to take the lead in the race to sign the full-back.
Ipswich won the battle to keep Mings in the summer after rejecting an offer from Crystal Palace in the closing stages of the window.
Mings recently collected the Championship Player of the Month award for his performances in September.
