Bury youngster Matty Foulds to join Everton in January

Matty Foulds is to join Everton in January after a deal was struck with League One outfit Bury over the youngster's signature.

Everton have agreed a deal in principle with Bury over a January transfer for defender Matty Foulds.

The 17-year-old, who signed a professional contract at Gigg Lane in February, will join the Toffees for an undisclosed fee in the New Year.

After making just two senior appearances for Bury this campaign, Everton have been impressed and have agreed terms to take the youngster to Merseyside.

Foulds has played a full 90 minutes just once so far in his pro career, coming in September's Football League Trophy win against Accrington Stanley.
