Roberto Martinez 'losing faith of Everton squad' after latest defeat

Everton manager Roberto Martinez is reportedly facing the wrath of his own squad due to an inability to help see games out late on.

Roberto Martinez is beginning to lose the faith of his Everton squad due to his all-out style of attacking play, according to a report.

The Toffees currently find themselves sitting down in 12th place in the Premier League table, some 11 points off a European berth.

No other team in the English top flight has conceded more home goals than Everton's tally of 26, with three of those coming during a horror capitulation at the hands of West Ham United last time out.

Despite seeing a two-goal lead slip away at Goodison on Saturday afternoon, Martinez refused to criticise his side's inability to sufficiently run the clock down late on in games.

It has now been claimed by The Telegraph that a number of Everton players have made it clear that a more savvy approach is required, which has supposedly caused friction in the camp.

Everton are back in action next weekend when they face Chelsea at the quarter-final stage of the FA Cup.
