Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira clashes with Everton fan during pitch invasion

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira clashes with an Everton supporter during a pitch invasion after the Toffees had secured their Premier League survival.

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has clashed with an Everton supporter after Toffees fans invaded the pitch to celebrate their Premier League survival on Thursday night.

Despite trailing 2-0 at half time, Everton roared back as goals from Michael Keane, Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin earned the Merseyside outfit one of their most important results in years.

A small portion of Everton fans had already invaded the pitch to celebrate what turned out to be Calvert-Lewin's winner before the majority of Goodison Park poured onto the pitch at the full-time whistle.

After incidents involving fans provoking rival players at Nottingham Forest and Northampton Town earlier this week, an Everton fan has been filmed taunting Vieira.

Vieira can be seen kicking the supporter before being ushered away by a number of other fans, subsequently diffusing the incident.

Like on previous nights this week, the behaviour of a fan has been widely condemned on social media, the potential being there for similar pitch invasions on the final day of the Premier League with the title and relegation still to be decided.
