Roberto Martinez: Victory was "well deserved"

Everton manager Roberto Martinez says that his side's 2-0 victory against Norwich City was "well deserved".

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has hailed three "well-deserved" points after his side beat Norwich City 2-0 at Goodison Park.

Goals from Kevin Mirallas and Gareth Barry were enough to take the Blues back into the top four in the Premier League.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Martinez said: "In these sort of games, you can lose your concentration in dead-ball situations, but I thought we controlled the game well and got three well-deserved and very important points.

"I thought it was going to be a very difficult game and it proved to be. I thought Norwich were very brave, playing with two strikers to try and hit us on the counter. I thought we balanced that very well.

"The amount of opportunities we had, probably that clinical touch in front of goal was the difference. Norwich had a proper go in the second half, but we defended well and kept a really important clean sheet."

The Spaniard also revealed that he fears that Ross Barkley may have suffered a broken toe.
