Christian Stuani signs new Espanyol deal

Uruguay international Christian Stuani extends his Espanyol contract until 2018.

Experienced forward Christian Stuani has signed a new long-term deal with Espanyol.

The 28-year-old, who is currently in his third season with the La Liga outfit, has extended his contract until the summer of 2018.

"RCD Espanyol and Christian Stuani have reached a contract renewal agreement that will see the Uruguayan remain with the club until 30th June 2018," read a statement from the Spanish club.

The Uruguayan international, who had previously strongly been linked with a move away from Barcelona, has scored nine league goals in 24 games this season.
