England lineup vs. Latvia: Predicted XI for World Cup qualifier as Thomas Tuchel rings changes

Rashford out, Henderson in: Predicted England XI vs. Latvia

England head coach Thomas Tuchel could make an abundance of alterations for his second game in charge of the Three Lions, which comes against Latvia on Monday evening at Wembley.

The German's reign commenced with a 2-0 win over Albania in Friday's opening World Cup 2026 Group K qualifier, where Myles Lewis-Skelly and Harry Kane came up with the crucial contributions.

However, England's triumph came at a slight cost, as Anthony Gordon replaced Marcus Rashford for the final 20 minutes but suffered a "worrying" hip injury during his cameo.

Tuchel conceded that the Newcastle United man's issue "did not look good" at full time, and Gordon has now officially withdrawn, but the Three Lions boss should otherwise have all of his options available for Monday's fixture.

Gordon's exit will spell optimism for Morgan Rogers, who has largely occupied a central attacking role for Aston Villa this term but is equally competent on the left-hand side, where he could displace club-mate Rashford.

The Manchester United loanee and Phil Foden both came in for criticism from their manager on Friday, and the latter is also at risk of losing his spot to Jarrod Bowen, but Kane and Jude Bellingham should reprise their roles.

Declan Rice can expect to continue in the engine room as well, but the veteran Jordan Henderson is in line to demote ex-Liverpool teammate Curtis Jones to the bench as Tuchel assesses his entire squad.

That could also mean an entirely new-look backline comprising Reece James, Levi Colwill, Marc Guehi and Tino Livramento, but Jordan Pickford should act as the last line of defence again.

England possible starting lineup: Pickford; James, Guehi, Colwill, Livramento; Rice, Henderson; Bowen, Bellingham, Rogers; Kane
