Team News: Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy start for England

Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy all start for England in the final friendly before Euro 2016 against Portugal at Wembley.

Roy Hodgson has given the biggest indication yet that Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy will all feature in his starting lineup at Euro 2016.

The three attackers will play from the beginning against Portugal at Wembley this evening in what is the last friendly before Hodgson and his men head for France.

It would appear that skipper Rooney will operate at the tip of a midfield diamond, with Kane and Vardy forming the strike partnership.

Eric Dier will provide the defensive axis, with James Milner and Dele Alli taking on the slightly wider roles.

Gary Cahill partners Chris Smalling in the heart of the defence, but left-back Ryan Bertrand misses out with a slight knock.

As for the visitors, Cristiano Ronaldo is absent due to his recent involvement with Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Former Manchester United winger Nani does start, though, as does ex-Chelsea centre-back Ricardo Carvalho.

England: Hart; Walker, Smalling, Cahill, Rose; Dier, Milner Alli, Rooney; Kane, Vardy
Subs: Sterling, Lallana, Clyne, Forster, Henderson, Sturridge, Stones, Wilshere, Barkley, Rashford, Heaton

Portugal: Patricio; Alves, Carvalho, Eliseu, Danilo; Adrien, Moutinho, Vieirinha, Rafa, Nani; Eduardo
Subs: Fonte, Guerreiro, Eder, Lopes, W Carvalho, Gomes, Sanches, Quaresma, Cedric
