Butland handed England debut

Jack Butland will make his first appearance for the England senior side during tonight's friendly encounter against Italy.

The 19-year-old, who will become the youngest goalkeeper to represent England, has been preferred between the posts to Norwich City's John Ruddy.

Meanwhile, Michael Carrick has been handed a role in the centre of midfield, while Tom Cleverley will also make his first start for the Three Lions.
